5 of the Best Family Activity Sites/Blogs

The summer holidays are now in full swing and I know a lot of parents are already sunning out of ideas of what to do with the kids, well worrying no longer! I have out together a list of 5 websites/blogs that can give you a helping hand with finding something to do.

In no particular order...

1. Skillscape on Ready For Ten – Ready For Ten is a website designed for parents of children aged 6 to 9 years. The Skillscape is a map of the UK’s best spaces for kids to play. It’s a resource for parents, by parents, and it’s stacked with playgrounds, beaches, museums and adventures. All you need to do is enter the post code or the name of the area you want to go and what you want to do and if something has been added in that area it will show you.. Why not pop over and have a look, if you have a place to add yourself then do so their aim is to have 1000 places on the map.

2. Silver Cross Days OutSilver Cross Days Out is all about your days out with pre-schoolers throughout the UK. Search for a place close to you or a longer day trip.  Add your own review for other parents to read. I’ve found a few places that I didn’t even know about in my area, I can’t wait to take BG!

3. Childfriendly.co.uk – A website full to the brim with childfreindly.co.uk reviews by parents for parents. What I like about this site is that it doesn’t just feature places to go but also places to eat and travel. A great resource for all parents.

4. Really Kid Friendly – Is another great website with reviews and ideas for parents. It has reviews and recommendations for days out, places to eat, free activities and classes.

5. Have A Lovely Time – Is a great blog (ok slightly biased as I review for them) which reviews activities, days out and holidays. The reviews are written by parents for parents, and covers not only places in the UK but foreign holidays as well, a great resource for anyone, with honest reviews.

Hopefully you will get some great ideas from these sites, if you have any other resources you use then please let me know.
