Review - Hale and Hearty Gluten Free Food

Hale and Hearty make a range of Gluten and Wheat free foods and I was sent a lovely selection to try. Many of the foods are also egg and dairy free and there are over 20 products to choose from and I’m happy to say the taste isn’t compromised one bit.

This was really easy to make, just add eggs and butter. Me and BG made this together in a loaf tin, and this is what it looked like

It tasted really lovely; it was very moist and kept for 3 days wrapped in tin foil. BG really loved it and it went down well with OH as well. A great cake mix, you wouldn’t get guess that it was Free From anything.

This pasta didn’t taste any different from regular pasta. I did overcook the first batch and it went really soggy so stick to the cooking instructions. Me and BG both had it for dinner and it was very nice.

Crumbles are one of my favourite desserts so I made a Rhubarb crumble and it was delicious. It didn’t go as crispy on the top as I would have liked but it was still nice. Both BG and OH liked it a lot.

I found all three of these products tasty and easy to cook, I didn’t feel like I was missing out on taste and you wouldn’t realise they were from a Free From range
Would I buy Hale and Hearty? Yes if I had friends with intolerances to Gluten or Wheat, I wouldn't necessary buy it all the time.

Hale and Hearty can be found at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Planet Organic and Wholefoods, prices start from £1.49. The range includes Breakfast cereals, Breads & Pastas and Savoury Snacks.

  1. Thanks for this. I'm always on the lookout for gluten-free products, and have had lots of disasters, particularly with pasta. I'll give this a whirl, and hopefully won't end up with a sodden clump at the bottom of the saucepan!

  2. Hello,

Very good site you have created. I enjoyed reading this posting. When preparing the food for the celebration, make sure that you avoid gluten foods. It’s because a person with a gluten free lifestyle or a celiac disease is able to eat different kinds of food but not the ones with gluten especially breads and other types of pastries.
