  1. My tip for breastfeeding is to take each day as it comes. It is hard work but very rewarding once you get the hang of it. @lauracymft

  3. Absolutely agree with Laura but not just each day at a time sometimes it has to be each feed at a time! That is what got me through the first 6 weeks of cluster feeding all night long!
Also for sore nipples I found expressing a little milk and rubbing it in after every feed helped ease them far more than any creams :)

  4. First, please do not be discouraged if breastfeeding doesn't go smoothly to begin with.
In the first days after the baby is born it is so easy to start panicking that you don't have enough milk, but don't be pressurised by the hospital nurses into formula-feeding.
Also Holle nursing tea is an excellent product for breastfeeding Mums. It helped me to have a more established and constant milk flow, and it also very pleasant.

  5. When my boy was tiny I was keen to breastfeed in public as early as possible so I wouldn't panic about doing it! I bought a hooded cotton scarf from American Apparel which not only looked pretty cool, but was wide and shielded baby boy from view whilst feeding - if there were any 'leaking' incidents I could always position the scarf to cover them up too! I also took my Mum with me for moral support on the first few public feeds... @superluckydi

  6. Keep trying - don't give up! It does get easier and if there are hiccups along the way, still keep going.
