This is a super lazy post from me today, I was sent a few press releases of events going on in Easter and the Half Term so I have just copied them over!
School Holidays Family Day Out: Pontcysyllte World Heritage Site Canal Boat Tour
Date: Begins April 2011
Time: 45-minute trips run daily at 12pm, 1pm and 3pm
Admission: £4.50 adults, £3.50 for children. £14 for a family of 2 adults, 2 children
Where: Close to Wrexham, North Wales Borderlands
About: Take the whole family on this fun guided tour of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is conveniently nestled in the easily accessible North Wales Borderlands.
The Aqueduct is known fondly by locals as the ‘stream in the sky’. It stands at a whopping 126 feet high and is 1,007 feet long.
As you ride along the Aqueduct in your canal boat there’s nothing between you and the River Dee but fresh Welsh air. You’ll be able to take in the stunning scenery as local man Peter Jones talks you through its exciting history.
You’ll need a head for heights, but the view and the adrenalin rush will be well worth it!

Easter Family Day Out: Easter Egg Hunt at Chirk Castle
Date: 22 – 25 April
Times:10.00am – 5.00pm
Admission:£2 for the trail plus normal admission charges
(Full castle: adult £9, child 4.50, family £22.50. Garden and tower only: adult £6.48, child £3.24, family £16.20)
Where: Chirk Castle, Chirk, near Wrexham
Kids and adults will love this special Easter egg hunt held at the stunning Chirk Castle in the
easily accessible town of Wrexham, North Wales Borderlands.
Kids can follow the garden trail and claim their prize – a yummy chocolate egg. Afterwards, they can hunt for the mischievous Easter bunnies that have escaped all over the castle.
Crafty kids can get creative at Home Farm and decorate their own Easter egg cup. For a little history, the family can meet the medieval guards and discover how life was 700 years ago.

Family Fun at Easter with Cadbury and National Trust Egg Trails
Cadbury, the National Trust and the National Trust for Scotland are teaming up again to add a magical twist to the traditional family Easter egg hunt. The enchanting Easter Egg Trails will take place at over 270 spectacular National Trust places nationwide during the Easter weekend – a great day out for all the family!
Set in the grounds of some of the National Trust’s most stunning places, each event is unique to the location hosting it. Youngsters can play detective, hunting high and low for the clues that will lead them to a delicious Cadbury treat, as well as enjoying plenty of activities and fresh air.
The Cadbury and National Trust Easter Egg Trails will offer lots of activities for the whole family and this year the fun and games will range from traditional Easter Egg Trails and face painting through to more interactive children’s entertainers and outdoor games. Providing mums, dads and even grandparents with a great way of getting involved in a fun filled day out.
