Charity Tuesday – Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and there is lots we can do to help raise money for vital research.  8 out of every 10 women that get breast cancer now survive thanks to hard work, dedication and fund raising efforts.

Here are few things you can do to help raise money for Breast Cancer research:

Get Baking!

Avon are selling Breast Cancer Crusade Baking Set, in order to encourage people everywhere to host cake sales to raise vital funds for the cause.

The bake set consists of a pink ribbon and a heart shaped cutter, as well as six silicone cupcake holders, the set retails at just £5.  Of this, £1.25 is donated directly to Breakthrough Breast Cancer and all remaining proceeds to not-for-profit projects.

BG and I was sent a set to try out and this what we baked.

Donate to Breast Cancer Campaign on Facebook

Visit the Vanish Facebook page and click on the “Donate to Breast Cancer Campaign” tab.

Simply “like” the page then place your donation token into the pot of your choice between Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment.

For every new 1,000 supporters, £1,000 will be donated to research (up to £10,000).

I’ve done it!

Pictures in Pink

Snapfish are selling a range of pink products including cards, notebooks and calendars. Snapfish is donating 15% of all purchases made on the Snapfish ‘Pink Gives’ store to Cancer Research UK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Snapfish is also running a ‘Pictures in Pink’ photo contest throughout October where customers submit their best pink photos for a chance to win some great prizes. By entering the Snapfish pink photo contest you will also help raise money for life saving research as Snapfish is donating 50p to Cancer Research UK for everyone who enters

Wear it Pink.

Donate £2 and wear something pink on 28th October, it’s that simple.
