Review: Mamas and Papas Autumn and Winter 2011 Collection

Mamas and Papas Autumn and Winter 2011 collection – Boys jeans, two shirts and a cardigan

Price: from £5 Available from:  www.mamasandpapas.com

Suitable from:  They do clothes from premature baby size.

Initial Reaction:  I had expected Mamas and Papas clothes to be good quality, and they exceeded expectations.  The attention to detail on the clothes was exquisite, front and back, they looked good from every angle.  They looked incredibly smart and yet were soft and easy to play in.   My little boy looked adorable.  The cardigan was thick and strong and all the clothes looked durable enough to withstand an active toddler.

Parent Panel Review - Cow Print Baby Romper By Freshwear

Product: Cow Print Baby Romper By Freshwear
Price: £7.99
Available from: findmeagift.com
Suitable from: 0-12 months

Initial Reaction: Really love the milk carton packaging, the material is very soft and the cow print is really funky.

Pros:
  • Washes well.
  • Nice packaging; would make a great gift.
  • Funky print.
  • Soft material, which complies with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

Cons:
  • Quite expensive for one single romper
  • Although packaging is really lovely it is maybe a bit too much for one item, although it is mainly cardboard so can be recycled.
  • Label states not for use as sleepwear, which is odd for a romper.

Value for money? If you are buying this as a gift then yes as it looks good but if you are buying for yourself it is a bit expensive.

Overall Reaction: The material of the romper is really soft, it washes well and keeps it’s shape. The cow pattern and packaging is unusual and it would make a really

Monday Giveaway – Win a Red Cow Print Blanket from The Pink Pig Clothing Co.

Happy New Year, this is our first giveaway of the year and it’s a great one!
Pink Pig Clothing Co is the brain child of Clair a Mum of 1, who started the site 12 years ago. This is what she says about the company.

Pink pig clothing was born about 12yrs ago.  I used to live in the USA and a friend was having a baby shower.  Being British and never having been to a baby shower before I spent a long time choosing a gift.  I happened to be in a gift shop that sold fabric and came across some gorgeous fleece and cotton.  I bought some, borrowed a friend's sewing machine and made a little fleece blanket and matching cushion which I prettied up with ribbon.  At the shower everyone said they were so cute I should sell them so I made more and sold them in a few local shops with quite a bit of success.  On returning to the UK I was trying to decide what to do with my time while my son was at school and Pink Pig Clothing was born.  I often get asked about the name and apart from the fact that we used to sell a lot more clothing there is no big meaning to the Pink Pig part - I just thought it sounded cute.  However, my great friend Melanie offers this amusing explanation: (go and read its hilarious)

As well as the gorgeous baby blankets she sells, Pink Pig Clothing Co also sell bibs, hooded towels, Nappsak and appliquéd sweaters. Here are some of my favourite items:
