Initial Reaction:   Brightly coloured and attractive

Pros:     

• Sturdy plastic
• Easy to use
• Educational
• Weighing scales are particularly good for little ones as they can easily set the level to be measured to without it being too fiddly

Cons:

• Rolling pin is small, great for little hands, but impossible to use for the cookie recipe in the instruction book!
• The “smiley face” cookie cutter was not very successful despite being the one which caused the most excitement.

Value for money?   I would pay approx. £8 to £10 per set

Overall Reaction: Great idea for a present for a child, as the bright colours and attractive design certainly encourage cooking skills.  All the items are duplicates of utensils already found in most kitchens but are cleverly designed for ease of use for children.

By making only half the recipe quantity, it practised my 8 year old’s mental arithmetic for division, without him even realising!
