Children’s Clothes Review – Mini Boden

BG currently has more clothes than me, but when we were asked to review some Mini Boden Clothes we couldn’t resist.

This is what we chose from the girls clothing range.  

Spotty Velvet Coat (Thyme)

Price:  from £55

Material: Outer 100% cotton Lining 100% polyester

Sizes: 2 – 14 years

Pros:

• Very well padded inside
• Really warm
• Super soft on the outside
• Great colours
• Looks fab
• Generous size
• Poppers instead of buttons

Cons:

• Not water proof

Value for money:  Yes, it’s a really generous size so it will last two winters

Overall reaction:  BG adores this jacket, see loves the colours.  The arms a little long at the moment but when the very cold weather hits this will be perfect for you.

It’s well padded but BG didn’t find it restricting to wear even with layers underneath.

I think it’s a great coat and well worth the money as it will last her two years (unless she doubles in size!)

Owl Embroidered Skirt

Price:  from £30

Material: 100% Cotton

Sizes: 2 – 14 years

Pros:

• Elasticated waist
• Thick waist band
• Great colour and design
• Washed really, we tumbled dried it and gave it a shake while it was still warm and the creases fell out
• Comfortable to wear

Cons:

• It is thin even with the double layer however with tights and boots its perfect for winter

Value for money:  It is much more than I would normally spend on a skirt, but as you can see in the picture it is a good size and thinks it will last until summer.

Overall reaction:  I really love this skirt the owls are very cute and BG looks great in it, Purple is her colour. BG likes wearing it and apparently it’s the perfect skirt for dancing in!

It is on the thin side but with layers it’s absolutely fine. A lovely well made skirt

Velour Hooded Dress

Price:  from £26

Material: Outer 75% cotton 25% polyester Hood lining 100% cotton

Sizes: 2 – 14 years

Pros:

• Super soft
• Really warm
• Good size, BG has room to grow in this
• Lined
• Looks great
• Washed and dried really well

Cons:

• None

Value for money:  Yes BG will get a lot of use out of this

Overall reaction:  This is my favourite item out of the three. It fits well, is really warm and soft and looks great.  A great anytime dress

I have found Mini Boden clothes to be really generous in sizes, which means BG has room to grow in them. They are well made and wash up really well.  I had not bought from Boden before but they are my list now for clothes. They also do some lovely boys clothing.
