Monday Review and Giveaway – Dulux Ecosense Paint

I've had the tough job of decorating my bathroom to bring you this review. Actually that’s a lie, OH has been decorating, I’m not allowed too (such a shame), the last time I painted a bathroom it took me 2 and half years and I still didn't finish it.  I was only painting it white and it was very small bathroom, so OH did the painting I just choose the colour.

Dulux have launched a range of Ecosense Matt Paint which have a 50% lower carbon footprint, compared to their 2008 formula, it also has 40% less waste, uses 50% less water and 20% less packaging, that’s an Eco paint!! Another main feature of the paint is that it has no solvent so they claim it has no lingering odour.

I choose the colour Sweet Potato for bathroom and they kindly sent me two tins. My bathroom is rather small, and we originally painted it white to make it look bigger but it just felt cold.

This is my bathroom before.....

OH found that paint went on easily, we did need two coats but that was no problem it dried really quickly. And the smell? Honestly you could barely smell it, and by the next morning there was no smell at all. I was really impressed, paint odour is not nice at the best of times but with a child around its not something you want, our house is very small and BG’s room is right next door to the bathroom but there was no smell in there at all.

Do you want to see the new colour? Well here you go.....

It is peachier than I thought it would be but it really warms the room up, we just need to paint the woodwork now. There is also a Satinwood Ecosense paint available.
For more information on the Ecosense range them visit the Dulux website.

I have a prize to giveaway to one lucky reader; Dulux will give the winner two tin of paint to decorate the room of their choice. To enter all you have to do is...

  6. Hi,
I would love Featherdown in the Ecosense Matt finish for my soon to be re-acquired dining room. We are currently using it as a product display space but have just signed a lease for our first "proper" shop so we are returning our house into a home. Many thanks
