5 of the Best School Uniform Ranges.

I know buying school uniform can be a bit of a nightmare for some parents, it’s a hassle shopping around and the cost can be really high. To make you life a little easier I’ve put together a list of 5 school uniform ranges so you can decide which one will be the best for you.

1. Tesco - Tesco back to school range is quite large with blazers, and coats available along with the usual trousers, shirts and skirts.

They have a great offer at the moment the £12 bundle which includes a coat, a three pack of shirts, a pair of trousers or skirt of pinafore dress I think that’s a great price. You can buy extra shirts starting form £3 for a three pack, skirts from £3.50 and trousers from £3.

2. Sainsbury – The TU collection from Sainsbury’s has prices starting from £2, the range includes skirts, trousers, cardigans, jumpers and shoes and sportswear. Some of the items have stain-repellent finishes which can only be a bonus. I like Sainsbury’s clothing I find it durable and it washes really well. Their range fit from 3 to 16 years.

3. Asda – As last year Asda seem to have the biggest School Uniform selection out of the supermarkets, lots of different designs. Prices start from £2 and that’s for a pack of two! Asda claim to have improved their uniform this year with 100% Cotton on school knitwear and sweatshirt and new designs with features like adjustable waistbands and Teflon finish. And don’t forget their 100 day quality guarantee

Asda are currently offering free delivery on all school uniform when you spend over £10, enter school2 at the checkout.

4. M&S – Marks and Spencer’s may not be the cheapest range but I don’t think they can beaten on quality.  With prices starting from £6.50 they are not over expensive, and with non-iron items and stain resistant fabrics it’s definitely worth considering. They have a good selection of sizes including long and short lengths for the trousers.

Marks and Spencer are currently offering free delivery on School Uniform, just enter
School10 at the checkout, offer ends 14th September 2010.

5. Woolworths- For those of you that used to buy school uniform from Woolworths there is no need to worry you can still get it online, with prices starting from £1 it has a great value range.  They boast a £6 school uniform set though I don’t know what the quality is like. It’s a good school uniform with shoes, jackets included so you could get it all from one place.  The trousers are Teflon coated and non-iron shirts are available they also offer free returns.

I hope that gives you an idea of what’s available and makes your shopping trip a little easier.

  1. Just back from the shops today! I had to buy the majority of my little boys first uniform from a private shop, but luckily they were not unreasonable. But I decided to buy some 4yr old trousers cos 5yr are too Bognor he does a HUGE growth spurt just before his birthday in November every year. M&S do trousers at £3.50 but even the expensive ones were disappointing in quality or feel. Sainsburies £2 ones beat them hands down! Hope that helps someone xx
