New Mummy Does Gardening - Part 4 Its All About The Beans and Sunflowers

Growing vegetables is one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done, to see something grown for a seed into something you can eat is amazing. I’m completely in love with the dwarf French beans we have grown, we’ve demolished one crop and I’m so glad we planted a second crop we are harvesting at the moment.

Do you want to see my glorious beans? Of course you do!!

I have to say I’m quite proud of my beans they have been a real success this year and I will be definitely be growing them again next year, I’m going to start as early as possible and make sure I have as many crops as I can. They taste so delicious its unbelievable.

Our sunflowers have also bloomed and to my surprise some of them are a burgundy colour!! As you can see they are gorgeous and the bees love them.

Apparently the red ones are ornamental and unlike the yellow ones can grow multiply heads, which ours has done. They are really stunning and I they attract a lot of insects and the bumble bees which is a good thing I’m told.

I will leave you with my favourite photo; it’s a sunflower before it blooms, and it’s so dark and twisted and then blooms into this beautiful flower.

Awesome isn’t it?
